Red, White & Bold: 4th of July Recipes Straight from the Farm
At Deer Park Farm, we believe the best celebrations are built around the table—with fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and good people. This 4th of July, we’re bringing the heat (and the crunch) with three farm-favorite recipes starring our Red Zinger Hot Sauce, Black Bean & Corn Salsa, and Garlic Dill Pickles.
Whether you're grilling, chilling, or potluck hopping, these recipes will turn your picnic table into the star of the show.
🌶 Red Zinger Grilled Shrimp Skewers
A zesty firecracker of a dish that’s ready in minutes.
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp Deer Park Farm Red Zinger Hot Sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
1 clove garlic, minced
Juice of 1 lime
Salt & pepper to taste
Skewers (soaked if wooden)
Instructions:
In a bowl, whisk Red Zinger Hot Sauce, olive oil, honey, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Order Yours Here
Toss shrimp in the marinade and let sit for 20–30 minutes.
Thread onto skewers and grill over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side.
Serve hot, with extra Zinger for dipping.
🌽 Black Bean & Corn Salsa Street Tacos
Fresh, filling, and easy tacos.
Ingredients:
1 jar Deer Park Farm Black Bean & Corn Salsa
1 rotisserie chicken (or grilled chicken, shredded)
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Small corn or flour tortillas
Optional: sour cream, avocado, cotija cheese
Instructions:
Warm tortillas on a skillet or grill.
Pile on the shredded chicken and top generously with Black Bean & Corn Salsa. Order Yours Here.
Add cilantro and any toppings you love.
Fold and enjoy.
🥒 Crisp Dill Pickle Summer Salad
Cool, crunchy, and ready to start off your celebration.
Ingredients:
1 cup Deer Park Farm Garlic Dill Pickles, chopped
1 cucumber, sliced thin
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
1 tbsp white vinegar
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix the pickles (Order Yours Here), cucumber, onion, and dill.
In a small bowl, whisk sour cream/yogurt with vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat.
Chill for 15–30 minutes before serving. The longer it sits, the better it gets.
